 Every year we provide urban youth with the opportunity to participate in outdoor recreation and adventure experiences with Wellspring. We want young people to not only have the experience of enjoying God’s creation, but also empower them with skills that will enable them to continue to enjoy nature in the future and even share that enjoyment with others.
We also want to cultivate young people who are responsible stewards of the natural surroundings God has provided us with.
We take an annual winter trip to Mystic Lake Camp near Claire, MI where youth enjoy tobogganing, cross-country skiing, and ice-skating. At this camp the youth are also exposed to the Christian faith through testimonies, Christian teaching and singing.
The Teen Discipleship Group normally takes a summer camping trip every year. In 2008 they traveled to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Recreation Area in northern Michigan where they camped, hiked and swam on the coast of Lake Michigan.
