What is Kumon?
Kumon is an internationally acclaimed educational program designed to give students a strong foundation in math. Each child is tested to determine his or her current level of mastery in math. The student then works from that level into higher math skills by completing worksheets designed to gradually increase math knowledge. Whether students are strong in math or have difficulty, they are able to improve and progress. [link to Kumon]

Who is Eligible?
Students age 7 through 13 We give priority to the following geographical boundaries: Evergreen (east) – Telegraph (west) McNichols (north) – Schoolcraft (south)

When is Kumon?

The Kumon program runs year round on Mondays-Thursdays. Each child meets for one hour on 2 of these days, after school in the fall, winter and spring and either morning or afternoon during the summer.

Type of Math

Kumon students learn their basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts well then move on to long division, fractions, order of operations, algebra, factorization, quadratic equations and other higher level math skills that will prepare them well for high school as well as college admission tests.
